Anyone regret choosing marble countertops?

So I’ve always dreamed of having marble countertops, like those Pinterest kitchens with the dramatic veining. But the more I research, the more I read about how high-maintenance marble is—etching, staining, constant sealing, etc. I don’t want to end up being the person who panics every time someone puts down a glass of lemonade. For those who actually installed marble, do you regret it? Or is it one of those “worth the hassle” things? I’d love some candid, real-life opinions before I spend the money.

I’ll be super honest with you—marble looks like a dream, but living with it can be stressful if you’re not the kind of person who’s okay with patina and imperfections. I had it in my first house, and it was gorgeous for about six months… then came the stains, scratches, and the heart attacks every time my kids dropped juice. When we renovated our new home, I went for quartz that mimics marble, and I love it even more—no worries, but still that elegant look. If you want to see what I mean, here’s where I found inspiration and options:  https://ps-countertops.com/  They’ve got some really convincing marble-look quartz.
