Ogledalo joj je govorilo sve ono šta je htela da čuje, dok jednog dana (kad je Snežana izrasla u prelepu ženu), nije dobila odgovor koji nije očekivala.
Bajka o labudu je delo Desanke Maksimović. Bajka počinje tako što imamo opisivanje jedne planine na kojoj je stalno bilo snega, zime su bile jaki, na toj planini je živela Snežana kraljica zime, na nogama je imala cipele od srebra, bila je ogrnuta belim snežnim plaštom, na glavi je nosila ledenu krunu, spavala je u snežnom gnezdu. Snežana se svakodnevno vozila ledenim jezerom, jednog hladnog zimskog dana vozeći se po jezeru na krilima jedne ptice. Kako je Snežana bila vrlo mala mogla je sasvim udobno da joj sedne na krilo. Sletale su na tom jezeru i druge ptice ali je Snežana jako bila vezana za ovu pticu. Snežana je dolazila na jezero kada bi svanulo jutro ali njen mali crni čamac kako je ona nazivala pticu nije na jezeru već duži vremenski period. Snežana je dolazila svakog narednog jutra ali njen prijatelj i dalje nije dolazio. Jednoga dana samo što je svanulo jutro Snežana je brzo pošla put jezera, ispred sebe na jezeru ugleda svog prijatelja kako tužan, oborene glave pliva po hladnom jezeru. Pozvala je svog prijatelja i počela razgovor sa njim, postavila je nekoliko pitanja, saznala je da je njen čamac zapravo tužan i tragao je za sopstvenim identitetom, tužan je zato sto su svi drugi labudi na jezeru beli, njegovo perje je bilo crne boje. Snežana radosno reče svom prijatelju ( Ako ti je to jedina nevolja ne brini! ). Kraljica zime je otišla do ledene kule, tamo je živela Srebrna zvezda majka svih pahulja na svetu. Snežana je majku pahulja zamolila da svu svoju decu pošalje ujutru na jezero i da pokriju pticu belim pahuljama. Ujutru Snežana opazi da vodom plovi beli labud, bio je jako srećan.[2] 1e1e36bf2d
